There are factors which will increase the chances.

The photograph must be clear, sharp and with a neutral background.
Good lighting helps. The photo does not have to be 'studio-quality'.

| Good bonsai |
The bonsai show be of a reasonable quality. It does not have to be BIG.
It does not have to be OLD It doesn't have to follow anyones 'rules'.
But a stick in a pot will not qualify.

| Interesting bonsai |
The Bonsai Photo Guide already contains many typical bonsai.
'Interesting' bonsai stand a better chance of getting in.
Autumn colours, classical shapes, unusual shapes, flowers, berries may help.

| Presentable bonsai |
The bonsai should be presentable. No weeds, well trimmed etc.

The more information that is presented on this form the better.
Scientific name, owner and approxiamate age is the absolute minimum.
